Faceless Expression is inspired by La Jetée, a short film which told a science fiction story through still images. I was wondering if emotions can be transfered without motion, or even, without any facial expression. For example, the shoulder movement “shrug” tells that the person doesn’t understand, or having a frustrating emotion. To respond to the conjecture, I achieved people’s upper body movement with still photoshoots and cut out their faces. Could you interpretate their emotions?
